"Hi! My name is Julia Kowalski, and I am a second-year Business Economics and Data Theory major. I am a huge animal lover and environmental activist. When not on campus, you'll find me playing with my dogs or baking vegan desserts!
I have a passion for uplifting, educating, and learning from my community, which is exactly why I ran for A.S. Director of Sustainability. My goals this year include improving plant-based and gluten free food options available on campus, increasing campus energy efficiency, and organizing engaging events for our student body.
While sustainability is an issue with many moving parts, my main objective as sustainability director is to encourage sustainable mindfulness and community collaboration – whether that means choosing to recycle your plastic, reuse notebooks for different classes, or using reusable tupperware and utensils. Our student body must work synergistically with SMC administration to create a greener, cleaner campus and environment!"
