If you have any questions about a specific course (materials, syllabus, class meeting, Zoom access information, etc), please contact that faculty member directly. Faculty will email you Zoom links for online or hybrid classes approximately 2 days before the class starts. All of the faculty email addresses are available on the Emeritus Faculty page.
All Emeritus questions should first be routed to emeritus@smc.edu. Emails will generally be answered in the order they are received. Email is preferable to phone calls so that you can be sure to provide sufficient information. Our student workers, Jessica and Vivian handle the Emeritus email. Ashley coordinates the schedules of our Associate Dean and Dean.
All of the day-to-day management of Emeritus will be handled by Guadalupe Salgado, the Interim Associate Dean. Scott Silverman, the Interim Dean of Noncredit & External Programs is working hand-in-hand with Associate Dean Salgado and all decisions, strategic planning and departmental oversight will continue to be handled by Dean Silverman.
