SMC Foundation Scholarships
The window for current SMC students to apply for SMC Foundation scholarships for the 2024-2025 academic year opened on October 15, 2023 and closed on December 31, 2023. The window for applying for scholarships for the 2025-2026 academic year will open in the fall of 2024.
Future SMC incoming freshmen (students currently in high school) may apply for SMC Foundation scholarships from February 1, 2024 to June 14, 2024.
• Minimum SMC GPA of 2.5
• Have completed at least 6 SMC units
• Enroll in a minimum of 6 units for Fall 2023 and plan to enroll in at least 6 units for Spring 2024
• Must be in good standing with the SMC Code of Conduct
• Students who already have a Bachelors degree or above are not eligible
• Minimum high school GPA of 2.5
• Be an Incoming Freshman at SMC for the upcoming 2023-2024 academic year (starting in either Summer 2023 or Fall 2023)
• Plan to enroll in a minimum of 6 units for Fall 2023 and plan to enroll in at least 6 units for Spring 2024
Matika Wilbur Scholarship for Native American Students
This scholarship is open to incoming, continuing or transfer-ready Native American students attending Santa Monica College. Additional requirements include part-time or full-time course load with a minimum 2.5 GPA. No specific academic major is required.

Mario G. Semere Scholarship
This scholarship is intended for current SMC students who plan to either continue attending SMC or transfer to a four-year college/university in the upcoming fall semester. Financial need. Art History major. 2.5 GPA.
