Eligibility
To be eligible and get the benefits of a TAG, you must meet the following criteria:
UC Santa Barbara Office of Admissions
- TAG does not apply to:
- College of Letters & Science: Dance (B.A., F.A), Music (B.M.), and Theater (B.F.A.)
- Any major in the College of Creative Studies
- Any major in the College of Engineering (including Computer Science)
- Complete at least 30 UC transferable semester units by the end of Summer 2023, including units earned via AP, IB or A levels
- Complete the last 30 of 60 or more UC - transferable semester units in residence at a California Community College with no more than 18 units to be completed in spring 2024.
- Complete UC required transferable math course and 1st of two transferable English courses with a C or higher by the end of Fall 2023, and English 2 or equivalent by the end of Spring 2024
- College of Letters & Science
- Earn an overall minimum 3.4 GPA in all UC transferable coursework by the end of Fall 2023
- Earn a minimum 2.0 GPA in all UC-transferable coursework in the Fall 2023, Winter 2024, and 2024 terms with no grade lower than a C
- Complete 60 UC transferable units by the end of 2024 (with no more than 18 units in 2024)
- Majors in Biological Science and Economics REQUIRE completion of specific major preparatorycoursework by the end of 2024
