Commercial photography is a highly rewarding profession requiring technical precision, creativity and a knowledge of current trends in both photography and advertising.

Photography majors learn the dynamics of visual communication to illustrate an idea, articulate a story, capture a mood, sell a product, or illustrate a concept. Our instruction focuses on the principles of image control directly in camera; enhancement of design and production through lighting techniques; image editing enhancements and high-quality output - all of which contribute to a comprehensive and rigorous curriculum that prepares students for the professional photographic industry.

Students work under expert professional photographers and instructors who specialize in photographing people and products for use in advertising and across media outlets.

Our Degree and Certificate Programs are designed to support you in cultivating industry contacts as well as develop a professional photography portfolio that will help you successfully launch your career.
