We are so glad that you are here! It is our goal to create a CMD experience and environment that is warm, welcoming and easy to navigate with many services available to students at the CMD campus specifically designed with perspective, new or returning CMD students in mind.
CMD Student Services Available:
CMD Counseling
Explore CMD Programs. Find out which CMD Program is right for you. Determine which CMD classes you need to take. We have CMD Counselors available in CMD 116 to connect with you via appointment that take the guesswork out of your CMD Academic planning.
CMD Computer Lab
Our CMD Campus has a computer lab in CMD 217 specifically designed with CMD students in mind. Our CMD Computer Lab has computers with the technology and programs you may use in your classroom or may need to complete class projects. We have CMD personnel available in the computer lab to assist you as well.
Computer Access
CMD has an open student area with computers in Bldg D First Floor CMD 120 (near CMD 116 Student Services office).
CMD Student Common Areas
Need to Relax, Eat, Study or Charge your device? CMD has several open student seating areas both indoors and outdoors. Relax in the beautiful CMD Courtyard with seating areas next to the flowing water fountain and trees. Find a spot in one of our many comfortable aesthetically pleasing indoor seating areas that offer charging stations and plenty of natural light from our large open floor plans and exterior window designs.
Hungry/Thirsty at CMD?
CMD has an EveryTable Lounge with options to purchase healthy EveryTable food/drink items from the EveryTable SmartFridge. We also have free Bodega Bites for students located near CMD 116 and vending machines in the CMD Parking Structure. Water Fountain stations with water bottle filling options are available near each restroom facility. Additionally, there are several local businesses within short walking distance that offer food service near the CMD Campus.
Transportation & Safety
Transportation and safe, reliable options for our students is very important to everyone at SMC. There are many transportation options at SMC with student safety in mind including bus, train, carpool, commuting between campuses, biking and a safety escort service to name a few. LiveSafe App
LiveSafe is a personal safety mobile app that Santa Monica College is providing to all students, faculty, and staff to download for free. The app provides a quick, convenient, and discreet way to communicate directly with Santa Monica College safety officials, enhancing your overall safety and allowing Santa Monica College Police to better protect you.
