Join SMC professors Jihyeon Cha and Soyeon Kim on a study abroad program to learn more about the rich history of South Korea during Spring Break 2016. The theme of the program is exploring the country's diversity and perspective within cultural life. South Korea is home to modern international cities and breathtaking natural beauty. Throughout the program, students will be immersed in Korean life and culture.
The program includes a variety of excursions to historical sites and fun activities such as Kimchi/Bibimbap making and Korean traditional dress Hanbok wearing. Excursions include the National Hangul Museum, Gwanghwamun Square, Insadong Street, Korean traditional Hanok Folk Village in Jeonju, Imsil Pilbong Village, and Suwon Hwaseong Haenggung [a UNESCO Heritage site]. They will tour Seoul, the vibrant modern capital city of South Korea as well as visit the Kangnam area and the Lotte World Amusement Park.
