STEM Experiential Learning Opportunities

UCLA MEDPEP*

UCLA Medicos Para el Pueblo/Medical Preparation and Education Pipeline (MEDPEP) is a year-long medical preparation and education pipeline program designed to support low-income Latino and other underrepresented minority (URM) students through their community college experience and transition to four-year universities and health professional programs. MEDPEP's program components include personal, academic, and leadership development; conference and research participation; and peer mentoring support.

Requirements

Be an undergraduate (community college or a 4-year institution) or post-baccalaureate student interested in pursuing a career in healthcare
Belong to an underrepresented and/or disadvantaged group (first generation college student, low-income, Latino, African American, undocumented, etc.)
Be interested in pursuing a career in medicine, nursing, dentistry, or allied health careers
Be committed to issues affecting underserved communities
Have a minimum 2.5 GPA
