Requirements
Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher (4.0 scale)
Big Ten Academic Alliance Common Application or a campus-specific application. See
campus application information.
Be enrolled in a degree-granting program at a college or university in the U.S., Puerto
Rico or other U.S. territory
U.S. Citizen or a permanent resident of the U.S. Undocumented and DACA students must refer
to individual programs eligibility requirements
Completed at least 2 semesters of undergraduate education by the start of the summer
program
Have at least one semester of undergraduate bachelor’s degree level education remaining
after completing the summer research experience
Strong interests in pursuing a Ph.D.
Two letters of recommendation
Unofficial transcripts to apply and official transcripts if required upon offer
Not for students pursuing professional degrees such as law, medical, and MBA degrees
Students who have completed an undergraduate degree are not eligible
