Welcome!
Noncredit classes and certificate programs are a great way to build your skills or to help you prepare to reenter the workforce. Our Noncredit classes are designed to be flexible in order to meet your needs. We offer free short term programs that can help prepare you to enter the workforce or continue your education and also offer free open entry, open exit Noncredit ESL and Citizenship classes. Since they are skill building courses, you are able to build your skills without worrying how it will effect your grades, financial aid or degree progress.
How to Enroll

Santa Monica College offers a selection of noncredit courses available to the community at no cost!
Fill Out the Application
Once you have picked a class, you will need to download and complete the noncredit application, and once completed you can send it to NoncreditRegistration@smc.edu, with the class you are interested in as the subject line.
Note: Continuing SMC students interested in Noncredit Career Education can also register via Corsair Connect.
Complete Orientation
After submitting your application, you will need to complete orientation if you are not currently enrolled as an SMC student.
Meet with a Counselor
Meet with a counselor by phone or zoom to discuss your Student Education Plan (required for ESL enrollment).
