About LA Mode
Our rapidly growing fashion program attracts aspiring fashion designers and industry attention from across the globe. LA Mode is Santa Monica College’s annual fashion show hosted by the Fashion Design and Merchandising Department with the support of the Business Department and Photography Program.
Each year Fashion Design and Merchandising students combine talents to plan, promote and produce a fashion show featuring student designs on the runway. As a Fashion Design student, you will have an opportunity to submit your collection for consideration for the LA Mode Fashion Show. As a Fashion Merchandising student, you will work closely with fashion designers and your merchandising team to plan and coordinate every aspect of the fashion show including model casting, marketing, and production.
LA Mode is a highly anticipated event for students and industry insiders. Faculty work with colleagues and alumni to bring the fashion industry to our annual fashion show to judge student work and source talent.
