Graphic Design Major
I'm a Local LA designer with a unique background as a professional water polo player, coach, & ocean lifeguard who has lived in six different countries. I got my start in graphic design creating artwork for my teams to put on their gear, and fell in love with the world of design. I regularly draw inspiration from the colors and cultures I find in the world around me. I am eager to create stunning visuals that can help make a difference in people's lives: to educate, inspire, and delight.
I am a lifelong learner, recently adding an Associates Degree in Graphic Design to my Masters in Education from Durham University (UK) and my Bachelors in Health Sciences from UC Santa Cruz (Go Banana Slugs!) I'm continually working to further develop my skills and aesthetic, and I love learning new tips and tricks to help my designs come to life. I’ll always be a teacher at heart, and I am comfortable in leadership roles where I place importance on teamwork, collaborative strategizing, and elevating the voices of those around me. When I'm not working, you can find me at the beach or at the pool doing the things that I love the most!

Problem
Pelican Swim Co. is a size inclusive and functional athletic swimwear company that needed a logo and design of PR materials for company launch.
Insights
The motto “Dive Right In” means customers should be able focus on having fun, not worry about if their swimsuit is going to stay on in the water. They pride themselves in offering sizes that will fit a wide variety of body types.Solution
A fun & classic looking logo was created that works well at different sizes and in color as well as black and white. This logo was then incorporated into the design of a number of PR materials, including business cards, stationary, brochure, media folder, & merchandise mockups.
