Funding Provided to Participants

Most interns receive a stipend and it is based on a student’s academic level and length of internship
Unpaid opportunities will be listed in the project descriptions available in the application process
Participants are responsible for making and paying for their own housing arrangements.

Requirements

U.S. citizen (Information on NASA international student opportunities)
Online application
Cumulative 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale)
Enrolled full-time (high school through graduate)
At least 16 years of age at the time of application
Undergraduate and graduate students must be enrolled full-time in a degree-granting program at an accredited college or university
One recommendation letter (recommendation link will be sent by the application system)
Unofficial transcripts uploaded and official upon acceptance
Resume
Educators are also eligible to apply
No experience is required but prior experience can be valuable and may be preferred for some projects

Fall applications are due early July
Spring applications are due early November
Summer applications are due early March
