I wanted to return to school because I wanted to make a difference in the world. After becoming a nurse, I wanted to do more and become a doctor.
SMC has molded and pinpointed exactly what I want to do in life. The counseling classes were absolutely helpful and the biological science professors have made a huge impact on my career path.
The counselors (STEM, DSPS, Scholars) have helped me through every step of the way for transfer. They weren't just academic counselors, they helped me through some hard times.
School is stressful so don’t be afraid to ask for help. STEM lab isnt just for STEM students! I wanted to say thank you to my husband and my mom for being an amazing support system.
