After taking a course over the summer as a high school student, I decided to drop out of high school right before my senior year and start SMC as a full-time student. Best. Decision. Ever.
SMC has opened my eyes to different peoples and culture. It allowed me to challenge my beliefs and bridge the gap between different peoples by learning about those who are different from me.
SMC has helped me in so many ways, that I'm not sure I can name them all! From the club life to serving on the A.S. and representing our students, SMC has opened opportunities I dreamt of -- including receiving the UC Regents Scholarship!
"Change does not roll in on the wheels of inevitability but comes through continuous struggle" -- Martin Luther King. Never forget that. Success will only come through hard work.
