For the most current air-quality index for Santa Monica: see “Air Quality” at the SMC Emergency Preparedness Webpage. Please note that because of smoke from the Franklin Fire, air quality may be unhealthy for sensitive groups in some areas of Southern California.
Over 1,500 firefighters and 13 federal, state, and local agencies are involved in the continued, coordinated response to the Franklin Fire. We are deeply grateful for their efforts and continue to hold the affected communities in our thoughts.
