SMC to Host Pre-Game Homecoming Celebration Oct. 19

Festivities Include SMC Corsairs Homecoming Game

SANTA MONICA, CA — Santa Monica College will host a pre-game Homecoming celebration on Saturday, Oct. 19, followed by the SMC Corsairs 2024 Homecoming Game.

Held at Corsair Stadium at the SMC Main Campus (1900 Pico Blvd., Santa Monica), the event will have a Taco Truck with food available for purchase. Cheerleaders will be selling snacks and beverages. The first 150 SMC students will receive free tacos.

In this year’s action-packed football game, the SMC Corsairs will challenge the Pasadena City College Lancers. Halftime activities include a performance by SMC Cheer and a parade of SMC athletic teams to show SMC school spirit.

Pre-game festivities start at 12 p.m., with the Homecoming Game kick-off at 1 p.m. at Corsair Stadium.

Admission for all pre-game festivities is free. Admission for the Homecoming Game is $10 adult general admission, $8 seniors and youth age 12 and under, and free for veterans and SMC students (with ID). Advance tickets can be purchased at smc.edu/tickets. A modest service charge applies. Ample free parking is available on the premises.

Picnicking and blankets to sit on are welcome, but alcoholic beverages, glass containers, and barbecues are prohibited, as are chairs with pointed legs. Please note that SMC is a smoke free campus and all smoking is prohibited.

The pre-game festivities are sponsored by the Santa Monica College Associated Students in coordination with Corsair Athletics, the SMC Office of Student Life, SMC Police Department, SMC Events Services, and SMC Foundation.
