B.A. Hunter College, C.U.N.Y. Graduate Studies - C.S.U.N., U.C.L.A. I have spent most of my professional life as a teacher. My experiences include being a World History teacher and literacy coach with Los Angeles Unified School District. But, I have also spent many years teaching Yiddish, a lifelong passion, which began for me growing up in a Yiddish speaking home in Montreal, Canada. There I was fortunate to have the best teachers in the world and eventually I graduated from advanced Yiddish courses. During the time I have lived in the United States I have been an instructor in Yiddish at American Jewish University, a lecturer in Yiddish at U.C.L.A. and also a teacher at DeToledo High School where I taught Yiddish in grades 9 to 12. This course met all of the U.C. language requirements. It is indeed a very happy coincidence to love my subject and to have this golden opportunity to spread the feeling. |
