Jo Hao's teaching career started at Cal State University Long Beach and Mount San Antonio College before joining SMC as a full-time faculty in the Interior Architectural Design program. She is also the past Chair for the Design Technology Department. She practiced interior design for 18+ years prior to her new found passion in sharing her design knowledge with new generation of designers. Her professional work include creating corporate, entertainment, civic, educational, as well as healing environments with internationally known firms such as Gensler and HDR. Currently, she resumed to her design practice in residential work.
