Shari Davis is Co-Director of the Santa Monica College Public Policy Institute and an Adjunct Professor of Political Science, teaching “Introduction to Public Policy” since Spring 2013.
Professor Davis is a graduate of the Harvard Kennedy School, where she earned a Master’s in Public Policy degree, co-chaired the student government and served on Harvard’s Institute of Politics Student Advisory Committee; and USC, where she majored in Political Science and Public Relations and was a student-athlete.
A long-time education and youth advocate, she chairs the community-based political committee, Community for Excellent Public Schools; serves on the Board of Directors of The Children’s Partnership, a nonprofit children’s advocacy organization; and has served on the boards of numerous organizations related to addressing homelessness, affordable housing, and early childhood wellbeing.

As Co-Director of the Santa Monica College Public Policy Institute, I strive to inspire students to become agents of change and to engage in the civic life of the communities in which they live, work and study.
