Photography has been my life and career for over thirty years. My formal education at Brooks was focused on the science of light and image-making, it was very technical and I loved it. In the early years, I shot mostly 8x10 film for my food clients and medium format when shooting lifestyle. I embraced the advancing digital technology from the beginning with a digital back replacing film. Over the years I’ve photographed just about everything from including underwater and hanging from helicopters. I started teaching in 2010 and today my professional career is divided between teaching at SMC and shooting assignments.
I’ve been fortunate and have learned so much over my long career. The feeling is incredible, being able to teach what I love and what I’ve learned. Say hello when you see me on campus, let's talk about making photos!
