Pat Akers teaches traditional Yang-style tai chi. She began studying in 1989 and in 1990 was asked to assist in her teacher's classes. Her joyful approach to teaching encourages students to relax and have fun with this "moving meditation" that conditions the body while it quiets the mind. Pat produced an instructional video, "Tai Chi for Body and Mind Fitness", to promote the health benefits of this practice and enable people of all ability levels to learn tai chi in the comfort of their homes. |
