There are four types of classes that will be held at the Malibu campus. Each one has a separate enrollment process. If you want to enroll in programs of each type, please follow the processes according.
Credit
To enroll in credit classes, apply for admission at any time. You must be 18 years of age or a high school graduate. Step-by-step instructions are available.
Noncredit
Noncredit is a flexible tuition free program that offers short term certificates meant to assist you with entering the workforce or continuing your education. We also offer free open entry noncredit ESL and citizenship courses. If you would like to apply or learn more about our course offerings, please visit our website.
Emeritus
The Emeritus program is a noncredit, and free, lifelong learning program with classes designed for students aged 50 and up. The enrollment process for students interested in taking SMC Emeritus noncredit older adult classes at the SMC Malibu campus is the same as how you enroll in all Emeritus classes throughout the District.
