PROJECT FEAR (And all the Feels)

By Michelle Kholos Brooks

A docu-play that tells the stories of Middle School and High School kids who have been interviewed about the fears and challenges they face during this time in history. More than fifty teens from a range of cultural and socio-economic backgrounds, from Alaska to New York to South Carolina to California, have been interviewed. These teens were prompted to tell stories that were meaningful to them. Besides the usual minefields of adolescence, youth today is challenged by social media pressures, gender identity questions, cancel culture, increased awareness of systemic racism, gun violence, global warming, an enormous political divide, war, the availability of illegal and prescription drugs, alcohol, suicide and of course, Covid-19.
