Vanpool Program Details:
  • Two registered vanpool parking spots are provided free of charge to registered vanpools.
  • Registered vanpool parking spots are located in Lot 6 on 14th and Pico (permenant signage to be installed).
  • Registered vanpools qualify for the new Sustainable Transportation Incentive Program, which makes vanpool commuters eligible for up to $30/month incentive depending on frequency of sustainable transportation usage.   •  SMC employees need to register and pick up a special vanpool parking pass from the SMC Police Department.
To participate, employees must download and complete the registration form, return to the SMC PD, and receive a free registered vanpool parking decal. Oversized vehicles must be parked in designated spots and are prohibited in all other locations.

Vanpool from Long Beach to Santa Monica
Vanpool 1:  (7:00 A.M. – 4:00 P.M. work hours)
Meeting time: 5:55 A.M. at Wardlow Park, arrival to Santa Monica by 7:00 A.M.  Drop off 1 - Santa Monica College, Drop off 2 – Water Gardens
Departure time: 4:00 P.M. meet at The Water Gardens (at 26th Street and Colorado) or Cloverfield and Pearl for arrival back to Wardlow Park by 5:00 P.M.
 
Vanpool 2:  (8:30 A.M. – 5:30 P.M. work hours)
Meeting time: 7:05 A.M. at Wardlow Train Station (3420 Pacific Ave, Long Beach, CA 90807), arrival to Santa Monica by 8:30 A.M.  Drop off 1 – 1800 Stewart Street, Drop off 2 – Water Gardens
Departure time: 5:30 P.M. meet at The Water Gardens or 1800 Stewart St. for arrival back to Wardlow Train Station by 6:45 P.M.

Meeting time: 6:40 A.M. at Mae Boyer Park (6701 Del Amo Blvd, Lakewood), arrival to Santa Monica by 8:00 A.M.  Drop off Water Gardens
Departure time: 5:30 P.M. meet at The Water Gardens for arrival back to Mae Boyer Park by 6:45 P.M.

Meeting location: Artesia Transit Station located at 731 W 182nd St, Gardena, CA.
Meeting time: 6:55AM, depart by 7:00AM for arrival by 8:00AM to the Water Gardens, 1620 26th Street.
Afternoon Commute
Meeting location: Water Gardens Fountain at Colorado Avenue and 26th Street. 
Departure time:  5:30PM for arrival by 6:30PM
