Financial Aid

All students who meet eligibility requirements for financial aid are encouraged to apply for financial aid.  EVEN IF STUDENTS BELIEVE THEY WILL NOT RECEIVE FINANCIAL AID THEY SHOULD STILL APPLY.  Financial aid is designed to supplement your financial needs and should not be considered as a total cost of your living and educational expenses.

Students can apply for financial Aid, through the FAFSA (Free application for student Aid) Website www.fafsa.ed.gov.

Santa Monica College’s school code is 001286.

FAFSA funds takes at least two to three months from start to finish for processing and distributing, so please apply for aid early

Certain students are eligible for other types of financial Aid

You may be eligible to receive a BOG fee waiver if you are a California resident AND meet any ONE of the criteria.  The BOG fee waiver covers the enrollment fee (which is $26 per unit for the 2010-2011 academic year) and health fees for eligible students.

PLEASE VISIT THE FINANCIAL AID OFFICE WEBSITE FOR THE MOST CURRENT AND UPDATED INFORMATION
