The Center for Wellness and Wellbeing provides a range of psychological services to help enhance the overall personal wellbeing of students enrolled at Santa Monica College.
Free confidential short-term individual counseling.
Provided by licensed psychologists and advanced trainees under close supervision by the licensed staff.
Because our center provides short-term counseling, community referrals to appropriate agencies are offered for students in need of longer-term or more specialized services.
Walk-in/crisis hours are set aside each day for students who are experiencing a crisis or feel they cannot wait for a regularly scheduled appointment. Walk-in hours tend to fill quickly, and are available on a first-come first-served basis.
Our center offers faculty, staff and administrators the opportunity to get assistance dealing with challenging students, difficult circumstances and disruptive situations involving students.
Workshops and Trainings.
We offer a wide variety of workshops and trainings on topics such as stress management, test anxiety, mindfulness, healthy relationships, mental illness, suicide prevention, and substance use.
