CalWORKs students may be eligible to receive low cost or free childcare while attending Santa Monica College. Students that qualify may select a licensed Child Care Center, a licensed Family Day Care, or an Exempt (blood relative) provider to care for their children while they attend classes.

Note: Santa Monica College does not have an on-site child care facility. We provide child care referrals and subsidies to eligible CalWORKs students.

To qualify for childcare: You must be enrolled in a minimum of 12 units or a combination of school and work. You must be referred by a CalWORKs counselor.
