The Scholarship Office administers the SMC Foundation's annual Scholarship Program. It also processes off-campus scholarships, and provides information about scholarship opportunities from outside sources.

The Scholarship Office also:

Provides a single-application procedure for consideration for more than 500 scholarships available through the program.

Distributes approximately $500,000+ in scholarship funds from the Santa Monica College Foundation (an endowment fund that provides proceeds for about 500 different scholarships), service clubs and local organizations, private individuals, and other organizations, foundations, and corporations.

Provides informational workshops and application forms for a variety of non-campus based scholarship sources that supports continuing and transferring SMC students; provides support services to obtain and fill out applications and to collect any required documents.

Scholarships vary from $250-$2,000 per year, and are awarded as a check issued directly to the student.

Dear College Faculty & Administrators,
 The National Council of Jewish Women/Los Angeles
(NCJW/LA) is now accepting applications for its
fall 2014 scholarships. The  scholarships range from
$1,000 to $2,000 and are awarded to nursing students,
teachers, single parents, mid-life women, and film
production students.
The application deadline for all NCJW/
LA scholarships is November 1, 2014. Students
may apply by submitting the application form below
with additional required documents. The application

The Stephen L. Teller & Richard Hotson TV, Cinema
& Theater Scholarship is awarded to a full-time student
enrolled in a COMMUNITY COLLEGE Film/ Television/
Cinema/ Theater program, and preparing for a career in
film, television, or theater production (not acting).
Applicant must have completed 12 units of classes in their
school's Film/TV/Cinema/Theater program, and may
be a man OR woman.
