Admissions & Preparation

General Information Sessions :

  • Nursing Information Sessions are held each term.  Click here for the current flyer and schedule.
  • You must have an SMC ID# in order to log in to Corsair Connect and schedule an Information Session appointment.  If you have not applied to SMC, or have not attended SMC for 2 consecutive semesters (even if you have an SMC ID#), you must reapply online by going to SMC AdmissionsPlease note:  If you are a new student or if you re-applied online, you will be using your SMC ID# and your 6-digit DOB for initial log-in to Corsair Connect.  The system will then prompt you to change your password and will take you through a series of steps to do so.  This process may take 5-10 minutes.
  • Once you log-in to Corsair Connect from the SMC Homepage:  
    • Click on the Enrollment tab on the upper right corner of your page
    • Click on Counseling Services in the left menu
    • Click on Nursing Information Session
    • Schedule your appointment from the available dates listed and be sure to write it down.  All sessions begin promptly at 12:00p at the Bundy campus Room 318.
    • These sessions are for students seeking general info about the SMC Nursing Program, students currently taking prerequisites, or preparing to begin the initial steps required before applying.
    • Students who have already taken their prerequisites and are ready to apply, please click on Application Procedures.  Nursing Information Sessions are not mandatory prior to application.
  • Students can use the computers in the Library, the Cayton Center (2nd floor), the Welcome Center and the Admissions office.
    Please Note:  The A.S. sticker is required to use computers in these facilities.  For more detailed information, please visit the SMC website at:
