Title: Software engineer/application developer  
We are looking for an experienced developer/software engineer who has extensive experience with the major code languages (Ruby, the C family, Java, PHP, Python, Javascript, MySQL, etc) and who is extremely versed in security. Ultimately, we are looking for a good match, a quality team member who has a personality that clicks with us, a relationship built on a foundation of trust (i.e. not steal ideas/code) and a drive to make everyone money creating something great. Your role in the team is to bring ideas to life. Again, personality is key. A language is just a language that anyone can learn (if we wanted to outsource to India, we would do that), but what matters is that we are able to work well together in a fun and prosperous environment. You must know how to work in a team, and know the difference between leading and following, and when to do both.

Subject: DEADLINE 12/15/15! NASA Community College Aerospace Scholars (NCAS)
NASA is currently seeking community college STEM majors for its Spring 2016 NCAS program!  NCAS participants are engaged in a rich STEM learning experience through interactions with NASA scientists and engineers, web-based activities and a four-day onsite experience at a regional NASA Center.  
Students who meet the following criteria encouraged to  apply by December 15, 2015 at 2pm CST!:
  • U.S. citizen OR Lawful Permanent Resident (CA students local to JPL only – see instructions below**)
  • High school graduate and at least 18 years of age
  • Must be a registered community college student (at the time of application, and during Spring 2016)
  • Concurrent enrollment or completion of 9+ hours of STEM coursework (can be any course)
  • Able to commit to a 5 week online session and a 4-day onsite experience at JPL
  • Internet access
 
*Travel, housing, and meals will be paid by NASA for the four-day experience.

UC Riverside just received a 5-year multi million grant from NASA to provide undegraduate and graduate students with opportunities in a year-round research activities during the academic year at their institutions and during the summer at JPL (internship).
Computer Science Department at CSUDH (Cal State University at Dominguiz Hills) is partnering with UC Riverside in this project to bring students from CSUDH and our sourounding community colleges.
This internship opportunity is for all STEM majors preferabbly at their second year.
For the selected applicants,  Computer Science department at CSUDH will offer a one-week intensive course in “Data Science” to better prepare students for their internship position at JPL.
This course will provide students with the basic concepts and foundamentals of “Data Science”.
Those selected applicants will continue their research activities at their host institutions during the academic year.
As part of this project, undegradaute students may be hired at JPL right after their graduation or continue with their graduate studies at the masters or Ph.D. level, while doing internship at JPL, and later hired by NASA or JPL.
The project provides stipends and fellowship opportunities for students to concentrate fully on their course-work and research.

CLASS TITLE: ENROLLMENT SYSTEMS ANALYST
 
BASIC FUNCTION:
Under the direction of the Associate Director - Enrollment Systems and Operations, the Admissions
Systems Analyst will help maintain and enhance the operations of the Admissions CRM System. Working closely with the Operations team, s/he will analyze data; create processes and workflows to
improve the effectiveness of the enrollment processes. The Admissions Systems Analyst will use
third party tools to acquire, manage, manipulate and create reports required to support Operations and the Executive team.  As a member of the Enrollment office s/he will acquire deep knowledge of
various Admissions processes in order to proactively recommend and develop solutions and to
improve timeliness and quality of data.
 
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES:
Daily Operations
     Analyze and problem solve issues with systems as they relate to the integration and management of admissions information (for example, review for accuracy in application import, supplemental information, and test score processes).
     Create reports to capture and analyze duplicate data or other errors, and provide ongoing appropriate data correction processes.
     Monitor and troubleshoot timely and accurate completion of workflow processes
     Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
     Monitor system error logs and statistics
 
Data Capture
     In collaboration with others, develop and maintain customizations and data necessary for projects and department functions
     Acquire and abstract primary or secondary data from existing internal or external data sources
     In collaboration with ISS and other Enrollment and Marketing staff, develop and implement data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and data quality
     Perform data entry, either manually or using scanning technology, when needed or required.
Automate processes whenever possible
 
Data Reporting
     In collaboration with others, interpret data and develop recommendations based on findings
     Develop graphs, reports, and presentations of project results
     Perform basic statistical analyses for projects and reports
     Create and present quality dashboards
     Generate routine and ad hoc reports
 
Custom Development
     Using Microsoft Dynamics CRM development tools create solutions including custom entities, forms and views
     Analyze business requirements and develop solutions using VBA, JavaScript and SQL Management Studio

     Proficient in XML and SQL Queries
