Sal served as chair of the Business Department from 2003-05. As a faculty member since 1992, he has held various academic leadership positions, including chairmanship of both the campus-wide curriculum, and distance education committees.
Distance education and course technology have been a particular interest of his, since first creating animated lecture presentations for his Introduction to Business course in 1993. In 1999, he ventured into distance education by creating Introduction to Business for online delivery. Over the years he has developed and taught numerous sections of distance education, including Management Principles, Principles of Marketing, International Marketing, Marketing Research, and Consumer Behavior.
In addition to teaching, Sal has published a number of instructional aids, including instructor’s manuals, and a number of multi-media presentations for general business and marketing textbooks.
