Carolyn Baugh


Carolyn BaughCarolyn Baugh is an active member of the Santa Monica community. She currently serves on the executive committees of the NAACP Santa Monica Venice Branch, the Human Relations Council of the Santa Monica Bay Area, and the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Westside Coalition.

She is currently employed by Santa Monica College as the administrative assistant of the History and Philosophy/Social Science departments, and assists with the Public Policy Institute and special projects such as voter registration.

She assisted Santa Monica College's former Pico Partnership On The Move community development program and former TRIO Student Support Services program. She currently advocates for students through endowed scholarships managed by the Santa Monica College Foundation and the University of Washington.  

Ms. Baugh graduated Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Washington with a B.S. in Psychology after attending Mills College. She has resided in Sunset Park for 28 years. She enjoys collaborating with the SMC Black Collegians Program and the SMC Public Policy Institute's interns and events.
