Music Concerts

Unless noted otherwise, concerts are held in The Broad Stage or in The Edye, both located at the SMC Performing Arts Center (PAC) at Santa Monica Blvd. & 11th St., Santa Monica. Advance tickets for concerts with an admission charge may be purchased online (www.smc.edu/eventsinfo), by phone at (310) 434-3005, or in person at the SMC Events Office (Theatre Arts Complex, SMC Main Campus; limited hours). A modest service charge applies. Tickets may also be purchased at the door 45 minutes before event start time. 

                                                      ​Seating is strictly on a first-arrival basis.

May concert is our exciting, lighthearted "Pops" concert showcasing the most memorable music from film, TV, and the Broadway stage. All ages are welcome!

SMC Jazz Band

Frederick Keith Fiddmont, Conductor. April concert pays tribute to the great pianist and composer Horace Silver. In May, the SMC Jazz band makes its debut at SMC's new Music Hall by revisiting how jazz began at SMC many years ago.

SMC Symphony Orchestra

James Martin, Director. Andrea Sanderson, Concertmaster. Orchestra will perform the idyllic "Lark Ascending" by Ralph Vaughan Williams, and principal hornist Timothy Battig will solo in the Concerto by Alexander Goedicke. The orchestra will also perform music by Ludwig van Beethoven and Sir Edward Elgar.

SMC Opera Theatre: Bizet's Carmen

Gail Gordon, Director. Carmen—one of the world's most famous operas—tells the tale of a love gone bad between a gypsy woman and a soldier in Seville, Spain. In a fully staged production, come and be swept into the drama of deadly seduction in George Bizet's romantic and dangerous world of gypsies, smugglers, bullfighters, and flamenco.
