Dr. Duffy received his PhD in Political Science from the University of New Orleans in 1982. He has taught at both the undergraduate (Sociology and Political Science) and graduate (Educational Research, Statistics) levels, and served on several doctoral committees. His work also includes the design and delivery of Adult Continuing Education courses for public agencies in Louisiana. He has published and presented papers in a variety of fields.
He has an extensive background in educational administration in community colleges as well as 4-year schools. Prior to joining Mendocino College in 2006, Dr. Duffy previously served as Assistant Dean for Analysis and Information Systems in the Office of Graduate Studies at UC Davis. Prior to that, he was Institutional Researcher at Delgado Community College in New Orleans, LA. He has also served as a consultant to various public and private organizations. Dr. Duffy also works as a web site designer, specializing in developing web-based data management systems.
